Mary Reba Sanders Wellborn, 79, of Lake Alfred, Florida died Tuesday, December 18, 2007, at the Savannah Cottage in Lakeland, Florida. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2007, at Pineview Holiness Baptist Church. Rev. Silas Carver will officiate with burial to follow in Pineview Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 22, 2007, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Pineview Holiness Baptist Church.
Mrs. Wellborn was born on August 22, 1928 in Tifton and was the daughter of Lee Roy Sanders and Elma Arrington Sanders, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Raiford Sanders, James Sanders and Lee Sanders. She was a Polk County, Florida resident since 1952 and attended the First Baptist Church of Lake Alfred, Florida. She was a homemaker, mother, grandmother and wife.
Mrs. Wellborn is survived by her husband of 61 years, Paul Wellborn of Lake Alfred, Florida; one son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Sandra Wellborn of Lake Alfred, Florida; one daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Douglas Applegarth of Lake Alfred, Florida; one sister, Evelyn Elizabeth Chambliss of Mulberry, Florida; two sisters-in-law, Anna Laura Sanders of Tifton and Charlene Sanders of Americus; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
