DRACUT - Elaine M. (Cassoli) Miscia, 62, a resident of Dracut, passed away on Sunday, December 16th, 2007, after a courageous battle with cancer in D'Youville Senior Care. She was the loving wife of David A. Miscia with whom she was married for 38 years.
She was born in Framingham on May 8th, 1945, a daughter of the late Carlo P. Cassoli and Edith R. (Cella) Cassoli of Wellesley. Mrs. Miscia graduated from Wellesley High School in the class of 1963. She also earned an associate degree from the former Bryant & Stratton School of Business.
Mrs. Miscia was employed by the Dracut public school system for over 20 years, most recently working as a bookkeeper.
In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her friends and family and enjoyed fishing and camping. She was also actively involved with the Girl Scouts and coached softball in Dracut.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her son, David D. Miscia and his wife Sherry of Framingham; two daughters, Christine Miscia of Lowell and Marie Miscia of Dracut; two brothers, Peter Cassoli and his wife Laurie of Greenwich, CT and Charles Cassoli and his wife Carol of Norfolk; her sister, Linda Thurston and her husband David of Halifax; many nephews and nieces.
She was also the sister of the late Jean Ivers.
Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT on Wednesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Her funeral service will be held from the funeral home on Thursday at 9:00 AM, followed by her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 AM in St. Mary Magdalen Church in Dracut. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery in Wellesley. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Saints Medical Center, Spindle Fund, P.O. Box 367, Lowell, MA 01853-0367 or to the Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack Street, Building 9, Lawrence, MA 01843.
