Catherine `Catie` Leigh Summers Catherine `Catie` Leigh Summers, 16, Clarksville, died Sunday, December 16, 2007, at her residence. The funeral will be held at 2 pm Friday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel with Rev. Michael Bayne officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm today and from noon til the hour of the service Friday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Catie was born July 3, 1991 in Scott Air Force Base, IL daughter of Bill and Cindy Summers. She attended Clarksville High School where she was a member of the HOPE Club and the Marching Band.
Survivors include her parents and a sister, Christina Summers of Clarksville; maternal grandparents, Stella and Jim Hamilton, Murfreesboro, TN; and Carole Russell, Hartselle, AL; and paternal grandparents, William and Christine Summers, Nashville, TN. Pallbearers will be Bill Summers, Steve Wiggins, Shawn Laust, Danny Magrans, Michael Parker, and Patrick Malotte. In lieu of flowers contibutions can be made to Catie Summers Memorial Scholarships at any branch of US Bank or to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital, 1161 21st Ave. South, Nashville, TN 37232.
