Obituary

Dorothy L. “Dottie” DeLeo, a long-time Medford resident and retired project manager for Polaroid, died Saturday at her nephew’s home after a brief illness. She was 68.

Dottie was raised in Medford and lived here all of her life. She graduated from Medford high School and Mt. Ida College. She enjoyed a 36 year career with Polaroid Corp. in Cambridge and worked as a production manager. She retired in 1996. She was enjoyed the company of her family and friends and was always there for them.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Adeline (Pezzole) DeLeo. She was a devoted sister to Donna Silva and her husband Albert of California, the late Richard J. DeLeo, Sr. and Robert A. DeLeo. She was a dear sister-in-law to Anna DeLeo and Clare DeLeo. She was a loving aunt to Christine Tallman, Ronald Silva, Patrice Silva, Darren Silva, Richard DeLeo, Jr., Joseph DeLeo, Elise DeLeo, Corrine Wilde, Daniel DeLeo and the late Robert DeLeo, Jr. She was adored by many great-nieces, nephews and her dear friends.

Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Wednesday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit at the funeral home, Tuesday 4 - 8. Service will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
