Mr. Pasquale A. “Pat” Sorrentino of Medford, formerly of Everett died on Friday surrounded by his family at home. He is the husband of Ruth Sorrentino with whom he shared more than 61 years of marriage.
Born in Everett, son of the late Antonio and Henrichetta (Covino) Sorrentino, he was raised in Everett and is a graduate of local schools. He also attended Oklahoma and Northeastern Universities.
A U.S. Navy veteran of WWII, he served as a seaman on the U.S.S. Niblack. Mr. Sorrentino was a loving family man and a skilled craftsman who could fix anything. He was a long time member of the D.A.V. He enjoyed traveling, dancing, Foxwoods and LasVegas.
In addition to his wife, he leaves 3 daughters, Patricia Giarle, Christine Giarle and Cassandra Giarle all of Medford, 2 sons Wayne Sorrentino of NH., and Bill Thompson of Malden. Father in law of Anna Thompson of Malden, brother In Law of Thelma Galluccio of Malden. Brother of the late Frank, Tony and Mil Sorrentino. Also survived by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral from Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Tuesday at 10 am. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis Of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4 thru 8 pm.
Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. In lieu of flowers, it has been requested that contributions in Pat’s name may be made to St. Francis Of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, MA 02155.
