Mary M. (Di Salvo) Perella, 80, of Medford, died Thursday at the Beth Israel - Deaconess Med. Center after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Perella was born in Boston, and lived many years in Dorchester. She was a Medford resident for more than 50 years. Although she occasionally held part-time sales jobs, her primary role has been as devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
She is predeceased by her husband Berardino “Gus” Perella. She leaves two sons: Bernard Perella of Middleton and Don Perella of Medford. She was the grandmother Lori and Amy and the sister of Helen Daniel of Burlington and Ruth DiSalvo of Medford.
Friends may visit Friday from 4 thru 8 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford.
Her funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, Saturday at 9 AM.
Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
