
LEICESTER: Sharon L. "Pikey" Pike,46, of 38 Mayflower Rd., died suddenly,
Monday Dec. 10 at her home.
She leaves her sister Susan M. Tee and her husband Robert of Spencer, her
two brothers Joseph L. Pike of Spencer and Jeffrey J. Pike of Millbury, two
nieces Bethany L. and Brittany A. Tee of Spencer, two nephews Jared J. Pike
of Spencer and Konnor A. Pike of Leicester.
Sharon was an electrical technician for Nationalgrid in Worcester for the
past 7 years. She graduated from St. Peter-Marian High, and later attended
Worcester State College, Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Quinsigamond
Community College all in Worcester. As a student at Worcester State, she was
a member of the 1980 Women's Basketball Team that went on to win the
Division 3 Inter Collegiate Athletic Championship in Spokane, Wash. She
loved her family, friends, two dogs, two cats, riding her "Harley" and her
passion for playing and coaching basketball.
Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of Ambrose J. and Muriel (Wolcott)
Pike, Jr.
Funeral services for Sharon will be held on Saturday, Dec. 15 at 9a.m. in
the Morrison-Morin Funeral Home, 1131 Main St., Leicester. Burial will
follow in Hope Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are Friday, Dec. 14 from 4
to 7p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Second Chance
Animal Shelter, Young Rd., E.Brookfield, 01515.
