Edward C. Ferreira, age 79 of Fall River. Husband of Mary Alpheda(Chouinard) Ferreira. Son of the late Joseph and Maria (Souza) Ferreira. Passed away Dec. 11, 2007. He was a lifelong Fall River resident, a member of St. Anne’s Church, president of St. Anne’s Senior Citizens Club & a WWII U.S. Army Veteran. Before retiring, he was a Forklift Operator at Duro Print Co.
Besides his wife of Fall River, he is survived by 2 children: David E. and wife Nancy Ferreira of Swansea & Natalie A. & her husband Peter Letendre of Portsmouth, RI; 5 grandchildren: Peter Letendre, Melissa Chester-Letendre, Jill Kenney, Jessica & Frank Ferreira; 4 Great Grandchildren, several nieces & nephews. He was also brother of the late Joseph & Belmira Ferreira, John Camara, Jenny Mendes & Gilda Catrina.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St. MONDAY at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Anne’s Church at 10 AM. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours SATURDAY 3-7 PM. There are no SUNDAY calling hours.
