Constance T. Riendeau 81,of Woonsocket died Wednesday, December 5, at the Ballou Home after a brief illness. She was born in Woonsocket a daughter of the late Eugene and Eva (Tessier) Riendeau. Miss Riendeau was a Woonsocket resident most of her life, but also resided at Deerfield Commons in North Smithfield before moving to the Ballou Home. She
was a dental assistant/ office manager for Dr. George Picard in Woonsocket as well as Dr. Milton Hodosh in Providence. She retired in 1996 after thirty years of service to Dr. Hodosh. Miss Riendeau was an active member of All Saints Church, serving at the Healing Services of the Sick, and as a Eucharistic minister. She also worked in the parish program “Feed My Sheep”, a program for feeding the needy.
She enjoyed cooking, reading and playing card games with her friends, and also the company of her dog Fifi, a cocker-poo, who enjoyed lots of her attention.
She is survived by a nephew Emile Riendeau of Smithfield and his wife Celine (Collamati) Riendeau, two grand nephews, Christopher and Eric Riendeau both of Naples, Fl, and her sister-in-law Elodia (Sevigney) Riendeau of Woonsocket. She was also a sister of the late Emile J. Riendeau.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 9:30am in All Saints Church, Rathbun St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
