Felicia A. McDonald, 86, of The Woodlands, TX died Friday December 7, 2007, in The Woodlands where she lived with her family Corey and Katie Collins and their son Liam. Mrs. McDonald was born in Quincy, MA on March 2, 1921 a daughter of Felix and Nellie (Pawlizyn) Romanowsky. She was a 1940 graduate of the Woodward School for Girls. Felicia moved from Boston, MA to Derry, NH in 1966 and then to The Woodlands, TX to live with her family in 2005. She retired in 1986 from Sanders Associates in Nashua, NH after 20 years. She was known for her selflessness and extreme generosity. A true fan of New England Sports, she never missed a football or baseball game no matter where she was. She recently became a jetsetter, flying between New Hampshire and Texas with her first flight when she moved in 2005. An avid storyteller, she also loved crossword puzzles and the television shows Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and Survivor.
She is survived by her sister, Genevieve Coughlin of Carver, MA, her adopted family, Corey Collins, his wife Katie, and their son Liam of The Woodlands, TX, many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Hugh L. McDonald in 2000 and her sister, Helen Kieslowski.
There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held Thursday December 20th at 10:00am at the Forest Hill Cemetery, Hampstead Rd., E. Derry, NH. Felicia was an avid and proud blood donor when she was able. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that all able persons take time out of their lives to donate blood to help give the “gift of life” so others may live. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is handling the arrangements.
