Yvonne Menard, 95, formerly of Knight St., Woonsocket, died Monday at Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Barthelemy Menard.
Born in St. Jude, Quebec, Canada, she was a daughter of the late Henri and Rose Alma (Therien) Lambert. She was raised in St. Jude and resided in Woonsocket for most of her life.
Mrs. Menard worked for various textile mills in the area, and several jewelry shops in Providence, before retiring many years ago.
Yvonne cherished spending time with her family, especially babysitting for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, Gerald E. “Gerry” Menard, of Woonsocket, and Ronald Menard, of Nashua, NH. She is also survived by several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Raymond, Bernard, Aldor, and Donat Lambert, and the late Germaine Lossaso.
Her funeral will be Friday at 9:00 am from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St., Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Agatha’s Church, Joffre St., Woonsocket.
