Bette A. (White) Peirce, 76, of Norton died on Monday December 10, 2007 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. She was the former wife of the late David A. Peirce.
Born in Seekonk, MA on February 28, 1031 she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Elsie (Lincoln) White, Sr.
She grew up in Norton, was educated in Norton public schools and was a 1949 graduate of Norton High School.
A retired Jewelry Inspector, Mrs. Peirce had worked in the general findings division at Leach & Garner in Attleboro for 19 years prior to retiring.
Bette had lived in Norton for most of her life and enjoyed collecting glass figurines.
She is survived by her devoted children; Jeffrey Peirce and his wife Barbara of Sturbridge and Cindy Astrofsky and her husband Daniel of Attleboro, she was the sister of Ernest White, Jr. of Attleboro, Sandra Richard of Vale, North Carolina and the late Shirley Cronin, also survived by her grandchildren; Kerri Peirce, Jeffrey Peirce, Niccole Astrofsky, Alexandria Astrofsky, Alicia Peirce and Kevin Peirce as well as many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
Funeral services, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Friday December 14th at 12:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton. Burial will follow in the Timothy Plain Cemetery, Norton.
Visiting hours are omitted. In lieu of flowers those wishing may remember Bette with a donation in her memory to the charity of ones choice.
