WORCESTER-Kathleen Kane Green, 69 of 55 Alvarado Avenue died Wednesday, January 15th suddenly at home. She leaves 2 sons, Robert M. Green of Oxford and Brian P. Green of Worcester; 2 daughters, Patricia Brousseau of Leicester and Helena McCarthy of Rochdale; 4 sisters, Sister Patricia Kane of Vermont, Pauline Sullivan of Worcester, Nancy Durkin of Coventry, Rhode Island and Dorothy Stephens of Bruster; 7 grandchildren; a great grandchild; many nephews and nieces. 2 brothers, Daniel and John Kane and a sister, Geraldine Sullivan predeceased her.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of Patrick F. and Geraldine (Shea) Kane and has lived here all her life. She graduated from St. Peter’s High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Worcester State College. She worked as a preschool teacher for the Head Start Program for many years.
The funeral will be Saturday, January 18th from O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue with a mass at 10:00 AM in St. Peter’s Church, 931 Main Street. Burial will be at the family’s convenience in St. John’s Cemetery after cremation. Calling hours are Friday, January 17th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
