Julia M. (Scutellaro) LaMarca, of Medford, died Monday at Wilmington Health Care Nursing Home. She was 96.
She was born and raised in Boston’s North End the daughter of the late Luigi and Adelina Scutellaro. She met her husband Charles in the North End. The couple lived in Quincy briefly and settled in Medford. In her early years she helped operate her family’s business, LaMarca Baking Co. Julia lived in Medford for over 70 years. A wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, Julia loved the company of her family and friends. She loved to cook for family and also enjoyed many visits to Foxwoods.
She was the beloved wife of the late Charles A. LaMarca, Sr. She was a devoted mother to Louis A. LaMarca and his wife Teddi of Tewksbury, Charles A. LaMarca, Jr. and his wife Phyllis of Burlington, the late Carmen LaMarca. She was a dear mother-in law to Dolores LaMarca of Billerica. She is lovingly survived by 14 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren. She was a dear sister to Jennie Scalfani of Medford, the late Nancy Ragusa, Mary Sciaraffa, Thomas, James, Armando, Frederick, Joseph and Frank Scutellaro. She was a devoted sister-in-law to the late Josephine and Phillip LaMarca.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford Thursday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family, Wednesday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
