PEPPERELL - Matthew A. "Mickey" Murach, Jr., 73, a resident of Pepperell, died Saturday, December 8, 2007 in Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He was the loving husband of Ruby A. (Petrow) Murach with whom he was married for 53 years.
He was born on November 23, 2007 in Methuen, a son of Matthew A. Murach, Sr. of Wells, ME and the late Esther (Tofilski) Murach.
Mr. Murach worked as a self employed carpenter until his retirement.
In his free time he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by his son, John M. Murach and his wife Dorothy of Dracut; two daughters, Marlene Dow and her husband Timothy of Shirley and Maliea Brunelle and her husband Roger of Warren, VT; his brother, Joseph Murach and his wife Nancy of Methuen; two sisters, Carol Gillan of Atkinson, NH and Helen Little and her husband Harold of Andover; his brother-in-law, William Nutton of Methuen; six grandchildren, Meagan, Kristina, Sara, Stephen, Aaron, and Stephanie; many nephews and nieces.
He was also the brother of the late Louise Nutton and the brother-in-law of the late Robert Gillan.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 9:00 AM in St. Francis Church in Dracut. There are no calling hours. Interment in Belleview Cemetery in Lawrence. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Cardiac Unit, 330 Brookline Avenue, Boston , MA 02215.
