Violet T. Bradley 77, of 417 Mattity Rd. N. Smithfield, died Friday in Landmark Medical Center. She was the devoted wife of Raymond Bradley, they were married for 56 years. Mrs. Bradley was born in Woonsocket a daughter of the late Theodore and Doria (Plante) Tardie. She was a bookkeeper for the former Star Market for many years. Mrs. Bradley retired fifteen years ago from Citibank in Orange, CA were she lived for ten years, before retuning to Rhode Island. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Theresa’s Church in Nasonville, RI.
She is survived by her children, Michael Bradley and his wife Monique of Woonsocket, RI, Thomas Bradley and his wife Hester of Anaheim, CA, Marlene Dupre and her husband Steven of Pacoag, RI and Matthew Bradley of Huntington Beach, CA, and four grandchildren, Kayla, Christopher, Steven, and Jonathon. She was the cherished sister of Joseph Tardie of Longbeach, CA, Theodore Tardie Jr. of Fullerton, CA., Gerard Tardie of Costa Mesa, CA., Robert Tardie of Brea, CA., and Claire Martin of Nashua NH., Violet is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She had a special relationship with her nieces Joanne Balduf of MA., and Beverly Martin of NH.
Violet loved animals and was fond of flower gardening. She had a warm sense of humor and loved to laugh. She lived life to the fullest and took pride in her family. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00 am. from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St., Woonsocket, RI, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. in St. Charles Church, N. Main St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery. Visiting hours are Tuesday 4-7 pm.
