Mrs. Leona McDonald Lightfoot was born February 14, 1930 in Madison County, Alabama to the late Charlie and Mary Idella Ward McDonald.
Leona confessed hope in Christ and joined Madkins Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church under the pastorship of Reverend Endia Scruggs.
She united in holy matrimony to the late Tommie Lightfoot and was blessed with four children.
Her memories will be forever cherished by her loving children: Johnny (Alice) McDonald of Huntsville, Alabama, Lena (Greg) Godfrey of Huntsville, Alabama, James (Shelia) Lightfoot of Athens, Alabama and Ruby Jean Lightfoot of Huntsville, Alabama; one sister, Charlie Mae Leamon of Buffalo, New York; one brother, Ned McDonald of Buffalo, New York; one sister-in-law, Catherine McDonald of Huntsville, Alabama; five grandchildren: Sheryll (Gregory) Brown of Harvest, Alabama, Avery Lightfoot and Brian Godfrey, both of Huntsville, Alabama, Randal Lightfoot and Andrea Lightfoot, both of Athens, Alabama; two great grandchildren: Kobe and Kaleb Brown, both of Huntsville, Alabama; extended family: Mrs. Sarah Reed and children and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Leona McDonald Lightfoot will be held at 12:00 Noon Saturday,December 15, 2007 from Madkin's Chapel C.P.Church with Pastor Carlos Suggs officiating. Family hour Friday, December 14, 2007 from 7-8 P.M.. Interment will be North Side Cemetary. The remains of Mrs. Lightfoot will be in the church one hour prior to funeral time.
