Henry E. Deschenes, age 82, died Friday, Dec. 7 at the Blair House of Tewksbury.
He was born in Lowell on May 5, 1925 the son of the late Joseph and Angelina (Boule) Deschenes. Mr. Deschenes was a lifelong resident of Lowell and was a communicant of the former Sacred Heart Parish.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed in the maintenance department with the former St. Joseph Hospital for five years. Mr. Deschenes served in the Army National Guard and also devoted much of his time with the Salvation Army for many years.
He is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Violet and Roland Weed of Lowell; also many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Richard, Armand and Robert Deschenes and Doris Gressner.
Relatives and friends may call at the M. R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell on Monday morning, Dec. 10, from 9 until 10:30am. A prayer service will take place at the Funeral Home at 10:30 followed by interment in St. Joseph Cemetery.
