Elvira A. “Vera” Staskawicz, 76, of Malden, formerly of Everett, passed away at home on December 5th, 2007. She was born in Boston on July 27th, 1931 to her parents Eustachio and Vincenza (Passanese) DiMare. Vera was raised and educated in the West End of Boston. She attended St. Josephs School, the William Blackstone School and Girls High School in the West End. Prior to retirement, Vera worked as an assembler for the Automatic Radio Company in Malden for several years. She is the wife of Frank R. Staskawicz; the mother of Cheryl Staskawicz of Weymouth and the late Bonnie Gennetti; the grandmother of Jacquelyn, Daniella, Nicholas and Michaela ; the sister of Margaret Spinale of Medford and the late Frances Romano and James, Sam and John DiMare. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden on Monday December 10th at 9 AM followed by interment in Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. Relatives & friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday December 9th from 2-6 PM.
