John M. Delmar, 77, of Londonderry, NH, died Friday, December 7, 2007 at the Harborside Healthcare-Northwood in Bedford, NH. Mr. Delmar was born in Boston, MA on December 12, 1929, son of the late Henry J. and Alice (Moses) Abdelmaseh. He was a resident of Londonderry for 8 years, formerly living in Cape Cod, MA and Atkinson, NH among other locations his job brought him to. Mr. Delmar earned his Bachelors Degree in Engineering from Northeastern University and his Masters in Business from Lesley College. He enjoyed that his education allowed him to work in the computer industry for several companies around the country. He also taught business classes at New Hampshire College and at Franklin Pierce College, something he also really enjoyed, as well as photography and spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Delmar belonged to the Elks Club and the Masons while living in Cape Cod. He was an avid reader.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Jeanne Delmar of Londonderry, his children and his grandchildren.
Private family funeral services were held on Tuesday at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01710. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is handling the arrangements.
