Frances E. Fogel, a lifelong resident of Winthrop, entered into rest on December 7, 2007 at the Massachusetts General Hospital. She was 84 years old.
Born in Winthrop, the daughter of the late Joseph D. & Celia (Goldberg) Fogel, Miss Fogel attended the Winthrop Schools & graduated from Winthrop High School. She was a retired administrative assistant at the Massachusetts Safety Council in Boston. Miss Fogel was a life member of Hebrew Senior Life in Boston & the Aid To The Blind.
Miss Fogel was the sister of the late Julia Swartz, Dorothy Krivan, & Estelle Kade. She is survived by numerous nieces & nephews, great nieces & nephews, great great nieces & nephews, & great great great nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be held in the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Ave. (Cary Sq) CHELSEA on Sunday, December 9, 2007 at 2:00 PM. Rabbi Judi Ehrlich of Winthrop will officiate. Burial will follow in the Congregation Tifereth Israel of Winthrop Cemetery, 232 Fuller St. Everett. Family & friends are invited to join at the home of Laura & Allan Waldman, Marblehead immediately following the burial. Donations in Miss Fogel's memory may be made to Temple Tifereth Israel of Winthrop, 93 Veterans Rd. Winthrop, MA 02152. Arrangements entrusted to the care of the Torf Funeral Service of Chelsea.
