Richard James LaValley, Sr, 72, Clarksville, died Thursday, December 6, 2007, at Clarksville Manor Nursing Home.
The funeral will be held at 12 noon Monday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel with Chaplain William H. Corley officiating.
Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West with full military honors. Visitation will be from 9 am until the hour of the service Monday at the funeral home at the funeral home.
Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He was born May 19, 1935 in Cleveland, OH son of the late Albert and Mary LaValley.
He was retired from the US Army and had worked with the Clarksville Montgomery County School System as a bus driver.
Survivors include a son, Richard LaValley, Jr., Portsmouth, OH; step-daughters, Terry Dyck (Gary), Frankston, TX; and Pam LaValley, Hopkinsville, KY; a brother, Albert LaValley, FL; and three grandchildren.
