Loretta E. (Canning) Danca, a longtime resident of Woburn, passed away quietly, on Thursday, at the Woburn Nursing Center. Loretta was eighty-eight years old.
Born in Boston, Loretta was the daughter of the late Anna (Kodad) and William Canning. Raised and educated in Malden, in 1942 she wed her late husband Joseph J. Danca with whom she shared sixty-one years of marriage. A hard-working wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she always made sure her family was well taken care of. She considered her family to be life´s greatest blessings. She enjoyed, cooking, baking and helping with all of the grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are her two daughters, Karen I. Kinneen and her husband David of Burlington, Joyce E. Hammer and her husband John of Billerica, her son Joseph J. Jr. and his wife Pamela of Wakefield. Also nine loving grandchildren and nine loving great grandchildren. One Sister Barbara Shea of Stoughton.
Along with her husband she was predeceased by her two brothers Francis and Walter Canning. Two sisters Irene Griffin and Clare Murray.
Loretta´s funeral will be held from the McLaughlin-Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, on Monday, December 10, at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Anthony Church, 851 Main St. Woburn at 10. Services will conclude with buarial at Calvaray Cemetery. Woburn.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 thru 8.
