Barbara M. McCormick (Marks) entered into eternal life on December 5, 2007, while at her home in Dedham. She had suffered from a systemic recurrence of breast cancer.
Born in Harford, Connecticut, she grew up in Simsbury, Connecticut, and had lived for many years in Rowayton, Connecticut, before moving to Dedham 11 years ago.
Daughter of the late Salvo and Dorothy (McClure) Marks, she is survived by her husband, George W. McCormick, her niece, Ann Heideman of Portland, Oregon, her niece and nephew, Leigh and Gifford Nowland, and her grandniece, Paige Nowland, all of North East, Maryland, as well as by her beloved two dogs and six cats.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Barbara McCormick may be sent to the Breast Cancer Research Fund, Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center, 165 Cambridge Street, Suite 600, Boston, Massachusetts 02114.
