Worcester—Robert W. Shyllberg, 91, died Tuesday, December 4, 2007, at the Lutheran Home. He was predeceased by his first wife, Marion E. (Barney) Shyllberg, and his second wife, Constance (Roy) Shyllberg. He leaves a son, Robert L. Shyllberg of West Boylston, a daughter, Gail E. Tormey of Worcester; 2 step-sons, Ronald Dion of San Francisco and Kenneth Dion of Grafton; 7 grandchildren. A son, Brian F. Shyllberg and a brother, Walter B. Shyllberg predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of Oscar B. and Ellen (Carlson) Shyllberg. He was a WWII Navy veteran. He worked at Norton Co. as a piper for 42 years and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 7, at 11:00 a.m. at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Boylston. A calling hour will be held on Friday from 10-11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Staff Appreciation Fund of the Lutheran Home, 26 Harvard Street, Worcester MA 01609.
