Obituary

WORCESTER-Arthur T. Brown, 90, of Worcester, died Monday, December 3rd in the Lutheran Home. He leaves his wife of 56 years, Gertrude E. (Sampson) Brown; his cousin Helen Mortimer of Auburn and several nephews and nieces.

He was born in Worcester, the son of Arthur T. and Mary (Needham) Brown and graduated from South High School. Mr. Brown was a Navy veteran of World War II. He had been employed by American Steel and Wire as a crane operator and later worked for the former Coes Knife Company, retiring in 1980. Mr. Brown had been a member of Our Lady of the Angels Parish, the Knights of Columbus, Alhambra Council and was an avid sports fan.

The funeral is Thursday, December 6th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. There are no calling hours. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Angels, Maintenance Fund, 1222 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01603 or to the charity of the donors choice.
