Mary J. White 91 of Abington formerly of Whitman died Tuesday December 4th in the Colony Nursing & Rehab Center in Abington after a period of failing health.
Born and raised in Whitman she was the daughter of the late Albert and Celina (Arseneault) White, and graduated from Whitman High in 1935.
Mary worked as a machine operator at the United Shoe Machinery in Whitman for 28 years, and was a member of the Holy Ghost Church in Whitman.
She later moved to Abington where she resided for almost 30 years.
She loved traveling and visiting with her family.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews, and was the sister of the late John, Francis, Earl and Irvin White.
Her funeral service will be held Thursday December 6th @ 10:30 AM
from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte 58 @ the rotary circle) Whitman, followed by a 11:00 AM mass in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman. Burial will follow in the St. James Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 9:00-10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to the Colony House Activities Fund, 277 Washington Street, Abington, MA 02351.
