Obituary

Stephen J. Capriulo, age 48, of Salem died Sunday, December 2nd, at the Salem Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was the beloved husband of Belinda (Burnham). Born in Medford he was the son of Anthony J. Capriulo of Woburn and the late Camille (Valente).

Stephen was a resident of Salem for many years. Since early on in high school, Stephan was passionate about acting. He loved to perform and worked for several years at both the Mystery Café and Medieval Manor in Boston. He was a founding member of the Actors Collaborative of Boston and was a member of the Common Ground Theatre in Salem. Stephen loved to tell a good joke and loved spending time with friends and family. He also loved following the Boston Red Sox.

In addition to his wife and father, Stephen is survived by his sisters, Suzanne Cerasuolo, Sandra Strong, and Stephanie Jarmolowicz all of Woburn. He is also survived by his grandmother, Delia Valente of Woburn, his step mother Heather Capriulo of Woburn and many loving nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be from the McLaughlin – Dello Russo Funeral Home 60 Pleasant St. Woburn Thursday, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Anthony Church, 851 Main St., Woburn, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 4 thru 8, relatives and friends are welcome to share a joke, reflection or funny story about Stephen from 7 to 8. Interment services will be announced at a later date. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Stephen’s memory to the American Heart Assoc. 20 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701 or in memory of his late mother Camille to the American Cancer Society c/o Breast Cancer Research, 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
