Obituary

Manchester– Charles Edouard Richard, 95, died December 2, 2007 at St. Teresa Rehabilitation & Nursing Center.
He was born in Manchester on October 25, 1912, the son of Julien and Esther (Legendre) Richard.
He studied with the Oblate of Mary Immaculate Father’s in Colebrook and Natick MA., and l’Ecole Hevey here in Manchester.
He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was also a chaplains assistant in World War II in France and Germany.
Along with his stepmother Marie (Sylvestre) Richard, they owned and operated Julien Richard Oil, the company started by his father.
He was a member of the St. Jean Baptiste Church Choir, the Catholic War Veterans, and the Manchester Country Club.
Family members include one brother, Roger E. Richard, of Burbank, CA., 3 sisters, Sr. Juliette Richard, PM, Justine Wagner, of Addisson VT., Cecile Capistran, of Manchester.
In His Life: He was predeceased by one brother Fr. Ferdinand Richard OMI, and one sister Lucille Jalbert. He is survived by several beloved nephews and nieces.
Services: Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM in J.N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home 110 Bridge St.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 1:00 pm in the Parish of the Transfiguration, Kelley and Youville Sts.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Oblate Fathers, 486 Chandler St., Tewksbury, MA 01876 or St. Teresa Nursing Center, 519 Bridge St., Manchester, NH 03104.
