Obituary

Allen Howell Hallett, 86 of Sherborn died November 29 in the Medway Country Manor. He was the husband of Frances (Nott) Hallett.
Born in Newton, July 12, 1921 the son of the late Joseph and Ruth (Howell) Hallett, Mr. Hallett was raised in Weston and had lived in Dover before moving to Sherborn where he had lived since 1952.
Mr. Hallett was a graduate of Weston High School, Northeastern University and the California Institute of Technology.
Mr. Hallett had worked for the Raytheon Corporation for over 33 years before retiring.
He had been a designer on the missile guidance systems for many years and was a technical writer for Raytheon before retiring.
Mr. Hallett had been a member of the Touring Club of New England and helped create the Porsche Club of the Northeast Region.
Mr. Hallett loved to spend time at his home in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire with family and friends.
Mr. Hallett served in the Navy during World War II attaining the rank of Lieutenant.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, James of Sherborn and Charles and his wife, Joan of Medway.
He is also survived by his brother, Joseph Hallett of West Townshend, Vermont and granddaughter, Emily Hallett.
His funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 8 in the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home 3 Barber St. in Medway at Noon.
Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery in Sherborn.
Visitation will be from 10:00 until noon on Saturday.
