Mr. John Loutraris, 81 of Medford died on Friday in Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford following a brief illness. He is the beloved husband of Maria (Haviara) Loutraris with whom he shared more than 47 years of marriage.
Born in Chios Greece, son of the late Panagiotis and Kostrandria (Efthemia-Paleologos) Loutraris, he was educated in Greece and fought in the Greek Army during WWII. He and his wife emigrated to the United States and settled in Medford.
Mr. Loutraris worked as a self employed painter. He loved gardening, watching Greek soccer games and fixing things around the house. In addition to his wife he is the devoted father of Paul Loutraris and his wife Joanne and Michael Loutraris of Medford. Dear grandfather of Maria and Keriann Loutraris of Medford. Followed by a funeral service in Dormition Of The Virgin Mary, Greek Orthodox Church, 29 Central Street, SOMERVILLE at 10:30 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4 – 8 pm. Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
