William G. Griffin, 64, passed away at home in Medford on November 30th, 2007. He was born in Medford on February 28th, 1943 to his parents Francis and Evelyn (Hamlin) Griffin. William attended school in Medford, graduating from Medford High School in 1961. He worked as a sheet metal worker for Union Local 17 for over 40 years. He has been a life-long resident of Medford and a life member at the Irish American Club in Malden. William is survived by his wife Mary E. (Murphy) Griffin; his son Sean W. Griffin of Medford; his sisters Patricia Polaski and her husband Eric of Medford; Roberta Bailey and her husband Brian of Medford; and his sister-in-law Mariea Griffin of New Hampshire. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many grandnieces and grandnephews. William was predeceased by his parents Francis and Evelyn and his brother Francis Griffin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Medford on Tuesday December 4th at 10 AM followed by interment in Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 4-8 PM.
