GLOUCESTER: Peter C. Russell, 62, died Sunday, November 25, 2007 in the Addison Gilbert Hospital following an extended illness.
Born in Gloucester on June 19, 1945, he was the son of the late William and Thelma (Saunders) Russell. He was a lifelong resident of Gloucester.
Peter was employed for over thirty years at Gorton’s of Gloucester. He also enjoyed lobstering with his uncle, the late Bill Smith.
He is survived by a daughter, Shannon R. Russell of Gloucester, two sons, Nathan C. Russell of Gloucester and Peter Hickey of Rockport, six grandchildren, Jacob, Dallas, Samantha and Haylee Russell, Tia Reddy and Gabriella Bottari, a sister, Helen Bell of NC, a brother, James and his wife, Helen Chadwick of Gloucester and many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by a brother, William “Butch” Russell.
His funeral services will be held on Friday, December 21st in the Beechbrook Cemetery, W. Gloucester at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. There are no visiting hours.
