Robert Barry, 75 of Medford, died Monday in the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA.
Born in Charlestown, he lived in Medford for the past 47 years and was the son of the late Elizabeth (Kearney) and Lawrence Barry. Robert was a retired Sergeant of Court House Security with the Middlesex Sheriff Department. He was an usher at St. Clement Church for 20 years and loved going to Atlantic City, horse racing and was a member of the Thoroughbred Racing Fan.
Beloved husband of Paula (Vozzella) Barry. Devoted father of Lisa A. English and her husband Michael of Gloucester. Loving grandfather of Jared and Jacob English. Brother of George Barry of Waltham, Dorothy McNamara of Walpole, and the late Lawrence Barry, Rev. Thomas Barry and Ann Kenney. Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Friday at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with entombment at Woodlawn Community Mausoleum, Everett. In lieu of flowers memorial may be sent in Robert’s name to St. Jude Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
