Mrs. Ida Petino (DeInnocentis) 75 of Medford passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning from complications with Alzheimer’s Disease. She is the wife of Mario Petino with whom she shared more than 58 years of marriage.
Born in Orsogna Italy, daughter of the late Rocco and Serafina (Guerrieri) DeInnocentis, she was educated there and came to the United States in the 1950’s. She was a talented seamstress. She was employed for many years by Priscilla of Boston where she worked on fine garments. Among them, she worked on was the wedding gown of Trisha Nixon-Eisenhower.
Mrs. Petino was well known for her cooking. In addition she loved dancing and gardening. She was a member of the Orsongna Women’s Club of Everett.
In addition to her husband she is the devoted mother of Anthony and Joseph Petino of Medford, Madeline Baliestiero and her husband Richard of Stoneham, Gabriel Petino and his wife Nancy of Beverly. Loving grandmother of Anthony Petino, Justine Petino, Tiffany Baliestiero and Michael Baliestiero. Sister of Augusto DeInnocentis.
Funeral from Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Saturday at 9 am followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis Of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 10 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 - 8.
