New Bedford - Senhorinha L. (Bonito) Dias, aged 85 years, died November 26, 2007 at the Taber Street Nursing & Rehabilitation Center after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Joaquim Dias of New Bedford. Mrs. Dias was the mother of Zenaida Sousa, wife of John Sousa of New Bedford and Juliana Medeiros, wife of Gualberto Medeiros of Livermore, CA. She was the sister of Serafina Pacheco of Sao Miguel, Acores. Mrs. Dias is also survived by 3 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews, and friends.
Mrs. Dias was a daughter of the late Manuel Antonio and Constantina Silvestre (Linhares) Bonito. She was born in Sao Miguel, Acores and has lived in this area since 1974.
Mrs. Dias’ Funeral is from the Perry Funeral Home Friday at 8:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Church at 9:00 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting Hours will be Thursday from 5 - 8 P.M.
