Kenneth J. Reid, Sr., 75, of Widow Smith Road, died Thursday at Fatima Hospital. He was the husband of Ethel L. (Betters) Reid. They would have celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary on December 23rd.
Born in Providence a son of the late Matthew and Catherine (Burke) Reid, he lived in Chepachet for six years, previously living in Providence.
Mr. Reid was a truck driver for Teamsters Local 251. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
He is also survived by his children, Kathleen J. Giocastro of Providence, Kenneth J. Reid, Jr. of Coventry, Kevin S. Reid of Danielson, CT., Steven E. Reid of Coventry, Scott A. Reid of Warwick and Donna M. Rhoades of Chepachet, 14 grandchildren, one great grandchild and a sister Eileen Schultz of Seekonk. He was the brother of the late Matthew, Frank and his twin brother, Ronald Reid.
