Dorothy A. Barrette, 85, of Church Street in Greenville, died Thursday, November 22, 2007 at Golden Crest Nursing Home. She was the widow of Henry P. Barrette.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late John B. and Ovile (Boisoneau) Barrette. She was a resident of Greenville and had previously lived in Providence.
She was a volunteer at Nickerson House, Channel 36 and the Julien Guild at St. Theresa’s Church, Providence; and a member of the Greenville Manor Tenants Assoc.
She is survived by her children, John H. Barrette and his wife Kathleen of South Kingstown and Jupiter, FL, Paul L. Barrette and his wife Jane of North Providence, Janet A. deLisle and her husband Edward of North Kingstown, Celine A. Goodson and her husband Michael of North Providence, Marian L. Barrette of Greenville, JoAnne T. Dillon and her husband Michael of West Greenwich and Thomas M. Barrette of Smithfield, 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, a brother David F. Barrette and his wife Norma of Lincoln and a sister Pauline Stafford and her husband Frederick of Florida.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 9am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in the Presentation of the Virgin Mary Church, 1081 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation Monday 4-8pm.
