Obituary

WORCESTER-Maurice J. Farmer, 77, of Worcester, died Friday, Nov. 23rd in St. Vincent Hospital. He leaves his wife, Malgorzata M. (Jurczyk) Farmer; 2 step-sons, Harry Farmer of Worcester and Arthur Jurczyk of Natick; 2 step-daughters, Linda S. Varella of Leicester and Violetta Sobiech of Shrewsbury; a sister, Pauline Boyd and her friend Evelyn of New Jersey; nephews and nieces, including Bill and his wife Donna Farmer, Sandy Bishab and Paula Thibault. His first wife, Lola B. (Lawrence) Farmer died in 1986.

Mr. Farmer was born in Boston, the son of Joseph H. and Bertha F. (Record) Farmer and lived here most of his life. He was a machine operator for the Whitney Pratt Company for many years before retiring. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict.

The funeral is Wednesday, Nov. 28th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 9:30 A.M. in St. Paul’s Cathedral, 15 Chatham Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, Nov. 27th in the funeral home.
