Tony R. Lockwood, 63, of Rochester, MA, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday November 24, 2007 after a brief illness. He is survived by Susan M. Lockwood, his wife of 43 years. Tony was born in Surrey, England and moved to New England with his family in 1983. They lived in Mattapoisett until 2005.
A pilot, Tony was passionate about flying. He spent many years volunteering for the Coast Guard Auxiliary’s aviation program, and was a familiar face around Plymouth airport where he kept a Cessna.
His creativity, combined with an entrepreneurial spirit led him to start Cobweb Films, a film and video production business. Tony also enjoyed painting, writing and photography.
Tony is survived by his daughter Emma, son Simon, along with his wife Katie and their new baby Benjamin, his sister Pam Andrews and brother-in-law, Clive Andrews.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, for skin cancer research, www.dana-farber.org, or Southcoast Hospice, www.schospice.org. There will be a Memorial service for family and friends at the Mattapoisett Congregational Church on Saturday, December 8th at 2:00pm followed by light refreshments.
