Obituary

BELLINGHAM - Parker R. Boschen, 66, of Bellingham, formerly of Franklin, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007, at Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, R.I.

Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Parker and Lena (Weitchel) Boschen, and lived in Bellingham the last three years. Raised in Needham, he was a graduate of King Philip Regional High School.

Until becoming disabled several years ago, he worked as a crane operator for International Union of Elevator Constructors Boston Local #4.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and was honorably discharged in 1963.

An avid sportsman, he trained and rode horses, was a driver in stock car racing, and played golf. He was an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan.

He leaves three daughters, Laura Jean Larson of Fountain, Colo., Rayna Rivard of Nashua, N.H., Leigh-Anne LaCourse of Westford; and six grandchildren, Zachary and Courtney Larson, Lorren and Olivia Rivard, Daisey LaCourse and Shawn Whelan.

A funeral with military honors will take place Tuesday, Nov. 27, at 1 p.m., at the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage St., Franklin.

Burial will follow at 3 p.m. in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.

A time of visitation will take place Tuesday, from noon to 1 p.m., at the funeral home.

Instead of flowers, donations in his memory sent to the charity of one's choice would be appreciated.
