Harvey J. Wood, 75, of Fitzgerald died Thursday, November 22, at Dorminy Medical Center.
Memorial services will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, December 1, 2007 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel.
Mr. Wood was born May 12, 1932, in Ben Hill County, Georgia to the late John Henry and Oppie Lee Sandiford Wood. He was a retired aircraft electrical repairman at Robins Air Force Base and a U.S. Air Force Veteran. He had moved back to Fitzgerald in 1989 from Warner Robins, was a member of the Baptist Faith and attended Abba Baptist Church.
Mr. Wood is survived by his wife of 24 years: Patricia Nesbitt Wood of Fitzgerald; one sister: Thelma Shipman of Fitzgerald; one brother: Jerry Wood of Peachtree City; and several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers: Lamar Henry Wood and Johnny Wood.
