Obituary

Audrey Frances Foster, 95, died at Southeast Rehab. Center in Easton on Tuesday, November 20 after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Nathaniel Sawyer, William E. Evans and Franklin D. Foster. Born in Medford, she was educated in Readville schools. Mrs. Foster was a resident of Stoughton for over 60 years. She was a clerk at Page’s Variety Store in Stoughton for 10 years before retiring in 1956. She was a longtime member of the First Congregational Church in Stoughton. She was also a Sunday School teacher, Deacon and member of the Women’s Club at the church. In her free time she enjoyed crocheting, playing cards, dancing and playing the piano.

Mrs. Foster is survived by her children, Clifton Sawyer of Stoughton and Audrey Olson of Brockton, as well as 7 loving grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was also mother to many foster children many years ago.

Graveside Service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Washington St., Stoughton on Tuesday, November 27 at 11 AM. Visiting Hours omitted. December 2nd Sunday Morning Worship will be dedicated in Audrey’s memory at First Congregational Church, 76 Pierce St., Stoughton.
