William H. Wallace age 89 of Salem, NH, died Tuesday at the Lifecare Center of Merrimack Valley in Billerica, MA.
He was born in Cambridge, MA, grew up and was schooled in Billerica, MA, where he graduated from Howe High School. He later attended MIT in Boston, MA for 2 years with a degree in electronics.
Mr. Wallace was a senior technical writer for Raytheon Corporation in Burlington, MA, where he worked for over 25 years. He had previously worked for General Electric in Lynn, MA. He was a member of the Thomas Talbot Masonic Lodge in Billerica, MA He was a US Army Air Corps veteran, serving in World War II. He was a member of the Granite State Baptist Church in Salem, NH, where he was the oldest living member, and was in the Young at Hearts Club. He enjoyed music, crossword puzzles, and loved baseball and the Red Sox.
He was predeceased by his Wife Helen D. (Martin) Wallace. He was also predeceased by a Daughter Kathryn Butcher
He is survived by 1 Daughter: Jeannette Richardson of Hudson, NH
2 Sons: Thomas J. & his Wife Marsha Wallace of Brooksville, NY
Martin E. & his Wife Francesca Wallace of Rome, NY
Son in Law: Chester Butcher of Danville, NH
7 Grandchildren & Several Great Grandchildren
Calling hours will be held Sunday, Nov. 25 from 4-7 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St, Salem, NH.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 26 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Cremation will follow.
