Ruth C. (Doolin) Harrington, 83, died at the Guardian Center in Brockton on Monday, November 19 after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Francis A. Harrington. Born and educated in Boston, she was a graduate of Gate of Heaven School in South Boston. She was a resident of Canton for 3 years after living in Stoughton for over 40 years. Mrs. Harrington was a homemaker. She was a member of the Stoughton Assn. for Exceptional Citizens.
Mrs. Harrington is survived by her children, Paul Harrington of FL and Jane M. Harrington of Quincy, as well as her grandchildren, Paul, Jr. and Brennan and her great-grandchildren, Conall, Cade and Cian. She was the sister of Joan Joyce of Weymouth, Mary Doherty of Squantum, Kevin Doolin of N. Attleboro and the late James Doolin, Barbara Rossman, Grace Hamels and Donald Doolin. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Janis Harrington.
Funeral Prayers will be offered from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, November 24 at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Friday 5-8 PM. Burial will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
