Gertrud Mathilde Meier Watkins Gertrud Mathilde Meier Watkins, 72, Clarksville, died Sunday, November 18, 2007, at Spring Meadows Healthcare Center. The funeral will be held at 11 am Wednesday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel with Rev. Byron Dumas officiating. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm Tuesday and from 10 am until the hour of the service Wednesday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born May 8, 1935 in Erlangen, Germany daughter of the late Hans Meier and Margarete Moesel Meier. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Gunda Munique. She was a homemaker and a chef at the Ft. Campbell Sportsman's Lodge. She was a wonderful and beautiful wife and she will be sadly missed by her husband and children. She is survived by her husband John Watkins, four daughters Laura Ann Beck, Carolyn Watkins, Mary Androws (Kevin), and Janet Watkins all of Clarksville; brothers Heiner and Hans Meier, a sister Emma Funk all of Germany; eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Kevin Androws, Devin Peters, Shane Androws, Jarrod Moore, Ron Carpenter and Gary Lee.
