Bette-Lynn (Robbins) Sutterley, 56, a resident of Taunton, Whitman and Weymouth, died Saturday November 17th at her brother’s home in Brockton, after a period of failing health. She was the daughter of the late Persis (Flemming) (Robbins) Taylor and step daughter of Richard B. Taylor of Whitman. Born in Cambridge, a graduate of Weymouth High School Class of 1969.Bette-Lynn was employed by Verizon as an administrative assistant for 37 years. A member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers local 2222 and Chief Stewart for over 30 years and most recently a member of Local 2223 until her retirement last year.former member and Past Matron of the Order the Eastern Star, Braintree # 67 in Braintree and Wessagusset Chapter # 192 in Weymouth, she also served as a Deputy Grand Marshal for the Grand Chapter of Massachusetts OES in 2001.She was also an accomplish and avid Square Dancer for many years.
She is survived by her brother, Wayne Robbins and his wife Carol, of Brockton, her step father Richard B Taylor of Whitman, her step-brother John Taylor of Quincy, her nieces, Nicole M. Robbins of Brockton and Marie E. Taylor of Dedham and many cousins. She was also the step sister of the late Nancy Taylor.
Her funeral services will be held Wednesday November 21st at 12:00 P.M., in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Inc, Plymouth Street (Rt 58 at the Rotary Circle) Whitman, MA. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery in West Bridgewater, MA. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday November 20th 4-8 P.M.
