Mrs. Mary Etta Marlow, 91, of Ben Hill County died Saturday, November 17, 2007 at her home.
Funeral services will be held 2:30 PM Tuesday, November 20, at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Ben Hill County with the Rev. Huey Nichols and the Rev. Jerry Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 Monday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Marlow was born July 16, 1916 in Carrollton, GA to the late William Wallace and Lou Ettie Powers McIntosh. Her family moved to Irwin County in 1943 and later to Ben Hill County in 1951 where she lived most of her life. She was a former employee of the Monarch Company and Custom Sportswear. As a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, she was a children’s Sunday School teacher. Mrs. Marlow was active in the Ben Hill County Home Demonstration Club.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Stuart and Judy Marlow of Fern Park, Florida; two daughters and a son-in-law: Charlotte Anderson of Dry Branch and Barbara and Tracy Brinson of Perry; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband: Jesse B. Marlow, one brother and five sisters.
