Robert N. “Bob” Whiteneck Sr., 76, of Salem, NH died Saturday at home after a courageous battle with cancer. He had lived in Salem for over 60 years.
Robert was born in Lawrence, MA the son of the late Margaret (Hartman) and Harold Whiteneck. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Robert had worked as a painter for Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, MA.
Robert was a member of the American Legion in Salem, NH. He enjoyed farming, gardening and vacations. He loved spending time with his family.
He was predeceased by his first wife Ora (Wheeler) Whiteneck, sister Carol Major, brothers George & Carl Whiteneck, grandson Joshua Whiteneck and special friends Elliot & Natalie Duston.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 3-7 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH followed by a Funeral Service at 7PM. Burial Services will be private for the family.
