WORCESTER_____Eugeniusz Brzoska, 72, of 49 Endicott St., died Tuesday January 7 in Radius Health Care Center, 119 Providence St.
He leaves his wife of 51 years, Anna (Parzych) Brzoska; two sons, Zdzislaw Brzoska of New Britain, CT., and Andrzej Brzoska of Webster; four daughters, Anna Kroszewska; Wieslawa Gorska and Janina Zurek all of Worcester; and Maria Kwiatkowska of Hubbardston; four brothers, Henryk Brzoska of Worcester; Jozef, Stanislaw and Jan Brzoska all of Poland; two sisters, Teresa Krystina Galanek and Zofia Domurat both of Poland; eleven grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by two brothers; Kazimierz and Marian Brzoska, both of Poland. He was born and raised in Zbojna, Poland, son of Leon and Aleksandra (Szymczyk) Brzoskaand came to Worcester in 1987.
Mr. Brzoska was a machine operator at Parker Manufacturing Co., for several years and before then at Buffalo Tank Co., also for several years. While in Poland he worked as a mailman as well as a farmer in small size farms. He was also Fire Chief for the Zbojna Volunteer Fire Dept for many years. He was honored for his years of service as fire chief and in developing and maintaining the Zbojna department.
He was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church in Worcester.
The funeral will be held on Friday January 10 from Henry - Dirsa Funeral Home, 33 Ward St., (www.worcesterfuneral.com) with a Mass at 10 : 30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home are Thursday January 9 from 5 to 8 p.m.
